Let's hear it for deep rumblings.

So, I'm reading Resenting the Hero by Moira J. Moore. I'm most of the way through, and I'm still not sure whether I like the story or not. It's a bit on the fluffy side. The author definitely speaks to me, however. Here is the best example so far:

"Bass voices had always slain me, so deep and powerful they made the pit of my stomach vibrate. Damn all basses."

Oh hell yeah. Er, not the damnation, the rest of it.
