Today's top thoughts
Jun. 4th, 2010 11:38 amIf you are the sort of person who gets things stuck in your head, do yourself a favor and don't listen to your friends' crazy ideas. The back of my head is busily scripting and writing lyrics for a terrible monster movie musical, tunes provided by Disney, set in Victorian-era London and currently hinging on the very shaky plot point of sucrose being a deadly poison to the monster. This is not voluntary on the part of my conscious mind, I assure you. It's just that the one line I was given is so damn catchy, I can't keep it out of my head.
Meanwhile, and entirely unrelated, it appears that Balticon ate my cell phone's battery life. From the time I got it up through a week ago, a charge lasted me about two weeks on average. Since last weekend, a charge is lasting approximately two days. I am Not Amused and have had strong words with the phone. It's about a year and a half old, so I have been expecting a drop in efficiency, but this was both abrupt and drastic. I'm hoping to convince it to give me at least a little more.
Also, wedding preparations have overtaken the office this morning, hunting for fonts and envelope sizes for printing the invitation envelopes. Imagine my delight. I am, at least, excused from the font-hunting and allowed to do some regular work, but I'm the only one who can troubleshoot the printer, which they're confusing every ten minutes or so. Why yes, I am in tech support... sort of.
Tomorrow, we try again for Spy Movie Day. Last time I got suddenly sick and had to flake out. Here's hoping this weekend works out better. Just hanging out and watching movies is really appealing to me at present.
