* Truck and turkey are not the same word. Substituting one for the other will probably never turn out well.

* Apparently Advil can create the same numb-up-to-the-eyeball effect as Novocaine. Fascinating. (More on this at another time).

* Sandals are awesome. Creepy-crawlies scuttling around near my feet when I'm wearing sandals are not awesome.

I can't think of any other times a substitution works though.
