I went up to the County Clerk's office today to get sworn in as a Notary Public. Yes, that means I can notarize for you, as long as we are in New Jersey at the time. I haven't ordered the nifty seal yet.
I now need to file an immediate name change. The Division of Revenue entered my name as Stephanic instead of Stephanie. It's not the fault of my terrible handwriting; everything I submitted to them was typed. This is annoying largely because I'm going to have to pay them $25 to correct their own typo. I love bureaucracy, don't you?
I had to swear to uphold the constitutions of the United States and of New Jersey, and their governments formed by the people. I guess that means that my budding career as a revolutionary will have to go on hold for five years.
